ENTER 2025
Coming into 2025 quite a few often unseen and unnoticed astrological signatures come to life. As the popular astrology culture will focus on the many planets and the nodal axis shifting signs, what also greatly stands out is that the year begins with the peak of the lunar standstill and the dominance of planets crossing the zero point of Aries.
It is interesting to note that as the nodal axis shifts from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo, as it does every 18.6 years, it also aligns with the Draconic Zodiac which works by aligning the North Node with zero Aries, to create a new chart (see the first chart).
Also, in January 2025, we will experience the peak of the Lunar standstill, which also happens every 18.6 years.
For 2025 there is a great focus on the zero point from many directions, which resonates for many years to come, as many new cycles begin here.
ARIES POINT and INGRESSES 2025
Ingress charts are widely used in astrological analysis to identify themes that unfold during a planet's time in a specific sign. For example, we use the Aries Ingress chart to make astrological judgments about the year ahead, while longer cycles, such as Pluto’s ingress into a new sign, reveal its broader influence over an extended period. Some ingresses involve multiple entries into a sign before fully settling in.
At the end of 2024 and then into 2025 several significant astrological ingresses take place :
- Pluto’s final Ingress into Aquarius - Nov 19th, 2024 – until Jan 2044
- The nodal axis shifts into Pisces-Virgo – True Node on January 3rd, 2025
marking a half-cycle of 9 years or a full 18.5-year cycle - Neptune’s Ingress into Aries - for the first time in 165 years
- Uranus's first Ingress into Gemini - for the first time in 84 years
- Saturn's Ingress into Aries - not since 1996
- Jupiter's Ingress into Cancer - a transit not seen since 2013
ENTER 2025 and the ARIES WORLD POINT
Entering 2025, there is a significant focus on ZERO Aries - the Alpha and Omega Point of the Zodiac - where the mutable sense of Pisces merges with the cardinal impulse of Aries, heating up global events and collective purpose. The zero Aries point, or the major World Point on the World axis, is the first of the Cardinal Signs and this axis has long been associated with worldly matters.
As the first degree of the zodiac, zero Aries strongly symbolises new beginnings, initiatives, and fresh energy. 0° Aries represents a global crossroads, where new cycles begin, and the interplay of individual and collective energy shapes the direction of humanity. It is a degree of action, manifestation, and profound shifts on the world stage. Events or themes arising around 0° Aries often highlight how personal actions influence collective outcomes. With Pluto in sextile to this point, it acts as a bridge, linking individual ambition with universal impact.
The zero point also highlights themes of leadership and power dynamics, as Aries is ruled by Mars, which governs war, guns, assertiveness, and action. Needless to say, 2025 begins with Mars retrograde in Leo, placing world leadership firmly in the spotlight.
The True North Node moves into Aries on January 12th, 2025, hotspotting a key crossing point for many planets to cross throughout 2025 and 2026.
The True Node crosses 0° Aries - Jan 12th, 2025
The Mean Node crosses 0° Aries - Jan 29th, 2025
Venus retrograde cycle will cross this point on:
- February 4th (direct)
- March 27th (retrograde)
- May 2nd (direct)
Mercury retrograde cycle will cross this point on:
- March 3rd (direct)
- March 30th (retrograde)
- April 16th (direct)
Neptune will cross this point three times in the next thirteen months:
- March 30th (direct)
within 10 hours of Mercury retrograde moving back to Pisces on March 30th - Retrograde - October 22nd
- Final ingress - January 28th
Ceres will cross this point in May 2025
- Ceres enters this point just before Saturn on May 17th, 2025.
Ceres has a 4 - 5 year cycle and was last at zero Aries in March 2021, when it joined Venus and the Sun (Star Point), and Chiron in Aries, at the end of March 2021. It was a time when many people around the world stood up and repelled against mandatory vaccinations, and were punished for it, by leaving or being dismissed from their jobs.
Saturn will also cross this point in 2025 - 2026
- May 25th (direct)
- August 31st (retrograde)
- The Exact Saturn-Neptune conjunction at zero Aries is on February 20th, 2026, and is only exact once even though Neptune and Saturn travel very close together and in and out of sign in 2025 and early 2026.
Aries Ingress 2025
The Aries ingress chart features a strong Pisces-Aries influence with Venus and Mercury retrograde. Mars in Cancer continues to "stir the nest," having just turned direct as Venus takes the baton and turns retrograde in Aries at the end of February. Finding a time when Venus and Mercury were both retrograde at an Aries ingress is no easy feat. Notably, Venus Star Points with the Sun began in Aries in 1929, at the 29th degree of the sign. As Venus Star Points travel backward in the zodiac, I needed to go back further back - even further to the 1770's and 1780's, around 250 years ago, when Venus Star Points were oscillating around an Aries Ingress. However, what I did not find is what is shown in the chart above.
During my searches, I found Venus rx conjoined the Sun, with Mercury rx already back in Pisces in 1771, and then the other way around - with Mercury stationing retrograde in Aries, and with Venus retrograde already back in Pisces - but nothing like this. Next search back - another 250 years to the 1520s - when the Venus Star Point was also at zero Aries, I found one date with Venus retrograde and Mercury three days away from turning retrograde. As we can see, a signature like this is quite hard to find. As much talk circulates about the great transmutation taking place with so many planets crossing zero point and ingressing to new signs, this Aries 2025 Ingress chart seems to bring together the chaos of the times.
This Aries Ingress also heralds that by 2033, the retrograde Venus Star Point will align exactly with the Aries Ingress. If we look back to 1520's and 1770's the complex histories of those in power, rebellions, a time of discoveries and new lands, may help us relate to the crossing points we may sense we are at now, on the edge of new beginnings and uncharted territories in so many ways. There is no doubt Venus represents our changing values, our social attachments and what we are attached to, what is popular, what we like and what we dislike. These tastes and particular ethical nuances of Venus then permeate and influence culture, fashion, art, our connection to our environment, religion, politics, and science, as all greatly influence and inform what changes and what is important in our world.
It is curious to me that most mundane astrologers do not follow the Venus Star, yet it has been a great tool for lighting up themes of social change and the demands of the people when followed more closely. The general global worldview can be seen to be shaped by Venus Star and when watched over the years each Star Point carries a theme, once as a retrograde Star Point and then four years later as the outer conjunction Star Point - in the same place of the zodiac. These Star Points gather themes not just over years, but centuries, and into the greater cycle of the Transits of Venus (when Venus Transits the Sun every 108-120 years).
Venus Star Point in Aries brought up many women’s rights issues over the past. The women's marches of 2017 rose up in February 2017 as The Pussyhat Marches made a statement of solidarity for women's rights in protest against the incoming Trump administration. An estimated four million people took part in sister marches in over 600 cities around the world on the same day.
Therefore, with Venus and Mercury retrogrades in Aries and its rarity at an Aries Ingress, tell us we are in for some great adjustments, some levelling out, and confrontations. Both Venus and Mercury are at the end of their cycles, letting things fall away as new things come to light. Our personal and collective values always need upgrading, yet at the same time, some things and what we stand for never change to become much more engrained.
How we distribute and inform our values and needs over this time period is up for a great review, but also shows that it will take more effort, more convincing, more fight, and more action to get things to change or move on.
Aries Hot Spot
The Aries Point hot spot brings much more to the forefront than we have seen before in this coming year with the rare line up for the Aries Ingress , with the Nodal Axis, Neptune, Saturn, and the Venus Star Point and Mercury retrograde all activating zero point, it looks to be a most pivotal and global year of change ahead"
