MEDICAL ASTROLOGY 101

The Uranian planets in my natal chart with YODS

In Part One of understanding Yods in Medical Astrology, I have the Moon, Mars, Pluto, Jupiter, and Neptune within our solar system and 3D world; I have also included Chiron, the medical asteroid, in Part One. I decided to collect the two Uranian planets in my six Yods, natally speaking, and set them apart from what astrologers are familiar working with.

Most astrologers are not knowledgeable about Uranian astrology. It was birthed during World War I by a German cook named Alfred Witte, who fed soldiers in the trenches of France and who also happened to be a professional astrologer. I guess he had a lot of time on his hands, as he was casting natal charts all the time for his comrades in the trenches. It was due to his keen eye and depth as an astrologer that he noticed a lot of important events occurring to the German soldiers (they got leave, got wounded, their wives had a baby, or they died in combat, etc.) when the “known nine planets” in our solar system were not activated at all during these types of critical events.

This went on for a time until Witte decided to pinpoint these invisible spaces and gave their invisibility “birth” by naming each of the eight unseen “sensitive points” out in space that were activated during an important event in that person’s natal and progressed charts.

Eventually, Witte named the eight after Greek influences: Zeus (King of the Greek gods), Hades (brother to Zeus and ruler of the underworld), Admetos (King of Pherae in Thessaly, Greece), Apollon (the god Apollo), Cupido (Cupid, part of the Greek gods and goddesses, with a bow and arrow about love in all its modalities), Poseidon (higher octave to Neptune, who is his brother), Kronos (father of Zeus), and last, but never least, Vulcanus (brother of Zeus called Vulcan).

In my fifty years of working with the Uranian planets, I have realised that, indeed, they are “sensitive points out in space,” but there’s more to this than meets the eye. The “known nine” planets of our solar system are in 3D (the third dimension) and we can see them with our human eyes. However, what Witte discovered were eight more “energies” that were from the fourth dimension. You can’t “see” them with your two human eyes, but their energies are real and affect us in our 3D reality. After 50 years of working medically with them, I guarantee you that people who are clairvoyant can see them because part of it is about seeing through the “veil” of 3D to be able to see in 4D as well. The Uranian planets do exist.

As a medical astrologer, you must have some kind of medical background, or you will be “lost” regarding how they each work in our 3D health systems (depending upon which country you live in) and their rules. I was an Emergency Medical Technician for four years, 1996 - 2000, and was medically licensed by the state of Arizona, USA, to become an EMT. Before that, I was taking physiology and anatomy courses, as well as biology and mathematics, at the Stark County Campus college to train myself on the human body and all its parts. The more you know about medicine and medical application, the more it will serve you when delivering serious, sometimes very serious information for the person.

And yes, let’s get this little caveat out of the way: I’ve been asked many times if I could point to a person’s time of Death. I’m here to tell you something different: I discovered over the decades everyone has 5-7 “crisis windows,” where, if it is their time to go, they will leave this body and our 3D realm. I have had people die during surgery, not breathing, and maybe having an NDE (near death experience), to go along with it. And? They survive it.

I’ll write an article on this later. Right now, I want to introduce you to two my own Uranian planets that were hooked up in my many Yods.

Zeus is my most active planet aspect-wise, in my natal chart. We’ll look at the known major aspects from it:

Zeus –

Conjunct the Fixed Star Regulus 29 Leo 04’ when I was born. It was conjunct my 1st House Ascendant at 27 Leo 30’

Conjunct Mars 15 Leo 30’ (12th house)

Sextile Chiron 15 Libra 14’ R

Sextile Jupiter 18 Libra 06’ R

Sextile Uranus 16 Gemini 40’

Sextile North Node 21 Gemini 51 R

Square Kronos 20 Taurus 36’

Square Mercury 24 Taurus 56’

Square Midheaven (MC) 23 Taurus 59’

Opposition to Admetos 18 Aries 57’

And, for those astrologers who know little about these eight sensitive points, they are missing a huge chunk of information for the person they are casting a chart for. When Charles Emerson, a professor from the East Coast, gave a vivid and inspirational talk about Uranian astrology back in 1974, it changed how I looked at creating a natal chart.

Part of the angst I had was as he talked about the eight Uranian planets (as I call them, although many people continue to call them “sensitive points.” ) I already had nine planets to deal with. Why would I drop eight more into a natal chart? Still, Professor Emerson’s deeply seated love of these other eight 4D planets, pushed me to start putting them into my client’s charts.

And what a change THAT MADE! I then bought a number of books by German astrologers who were followers of Alfred Witte. It was their books that gave me a good, solid grounding in this other system.

It took me a decade of working medically with them to understand them deeply and widely. They were just as active as our “known 9” are known to astrologers. No more, no less. Where it excelled, at least for me, was to utilize the other “tool” that Charles Emerson combined with the Uranian planets was by another German Astrologer, Reinhold Ebertine. He created circles (dials) for a square, an opposition and other aspects. I chose his 90-degree Cosmobiology wheel and went to work in PROGRESSIONS only with it. Again, I had to teach myself by moving from the secondary progressions in a 360-degree circle, to a 90-degree circle, instead. It also held a lot of midpoints which I found over time were useful but not always high priority for me, as a medical astrologer.

The 90-degree dial is about the 90-degree square aspect you find in the 360-degree natal chart, and, depending upon the person who owns it, the square aspect may be a stumbling block or a building block for them. With some people, it was a wall and a block in their life. For other people, they saw it as a challenge and a building block of opportunity to take on and work through, learning as they went. I narrowed down the square aspect to one of these two types: those who were stopped by it, or those who were challenged by it and worked through it. Medically, the 90-degree dial worked for me and my clients. That decade, 1974–1984 for me, was about teaching myself how deeply and widely these Uranian planets were influencing a person’s life, whether they knew about them or not.

I spent decades teaching a five-day class to astrologers who were interested in the Uranian astrology and cosmobiology 90-degree dial for progressions. Yes, transits have energy and direction too, but a progression is a much deeper and wider event than any transit. As a medical astrologer, I kept my eye on the progressions for serious life-and-death issues that poor health brings. It was then that I noted that there were five to seven “crisis windows” where a person was going to keep on living or die. There was no way for me to call it any closer than that.

I never told a client when they might die because I cannot. I always call them “crisis windows” as a way to examine the natal, transit, and progressed planets to see where the energy and focus are at. Almost always, if someone was going to pass on, there was more than one progression with the “known nine” and the Uranian planet or planets to underscore the depth of the event. In my own life, I had a life-saving operation, and it was a crisis window too. I knew I could live or die on the surgery table. Indeed, I did flatline — my heart stopped beating — for three minutes until it came back online after my pacemaker was turned on to help my heart beat once more. It wasn’t my time to go.

Now that you have a beginning grasp of the power of Uranian planets and the cosmobiology 90-degree dial, let us look further. I used Charles Emerson’s way of doing it: a marriage of two different ways of interpreting an astrology chart. I’ve lost count of how many people continue to live despite moving through a “crisis window”. Let me introduce you to Zeus (the king of Greek gods) and the adverbs and adjectives that will help frame this particular sensitive point or planet in 4D, which has a direct cause-and-effect relationship even though we’re stuck in 3D only.

ZEUS

Zeus is the higher Octave of Jupiter. These people all feel driven, passionate, like an arrow flying through space in a particular direction. As a child they may not understand this driven passion, but they will as they enter their teen years and twenties.

Give these children lots of things to do and find out what their skill sets are. And if you have a child like that, and they're constantly doing things, see what catches their total focus and attention. See what interests them. Turn them loose to try it out.

Zeus people are often in “dire straits” jobs such as a police person, a fire fighter, an EMT, joining the military, a medical surgeon or some other “dangerous/challenging job,” because they feel DRIVEN to understand it, harness it and become it. They like to win. Hate to lose. In fact, losing is NOT in their world.

Zeus people are frequently overachievers. Highly extroverted. They show off. They want attention for right or wrong reasons. And this is usually when they're younger. I find most Zeus males don't really get their stuff together until they're about 30 years old. Most Zeus people have Type A behavior.

They're impatient. The dark side of that is arrogance. A mature Zeus person can be a strong manager and a good leader. Zeus people are also a doer, and they have a favorite saying. They say, “lead, follow, or get the hell out of my way!” They’re going Mach 3 with their hair on fire. That's them. They're always focused. They know what they're going to do or need to do in order to win or accomplish.

Greenpeace will definitely get in your face if you're trying to do something that's not right for our world environment. Zeus people are natural-born leaders and warrior types. They are always going up against something that needs to be changed, and hopefully for the better. The dark side is just as roughshod; being authoritarian, they are dictators and fascists, and they live in totalitarianism. They can be despots and will not take care of their own people in that country. They want greed, control, money, and power if they're utilising the dark side of Zeus.

Zeus has superior talents and relishes creativity, no matter if it is in the arts, being an educator, or in one of the sciences. They shine and are frequently famous. Zeus people are teachers or educators of children, bringing out their natural creativity and inspiring them towards confidence, self-esteem, and believing in their dreams coming true through hard work.

Zeus people are brave and courageous, and when a teen or twenty-something, can be foolhardy. Maturity occurs at 28 to 30 years old, especially for males. Zeus females blossom a decade earlier. They are natural-born leaders. They’re good people to have around in an emergency because they think through the fray. They are not allowing their emotions to interfere with what needs to be done to save a life.

Vocations will involve leadership, being the owner of a business, or a manager, or maybe they're going to start up a cottage business in some area, be it the military or the government. And, although they are boots-on-the-ground types of military people, they also go into the Secret Service, the FBI, the CIA, and other clandestine vocations, such as black ops careers like the US Navy SEALs.

Another thing that sets Zeus people apart from the other planets is that they have confidence to burn. And this confidence is born of experience. Don't mistake that confidence just because they might have been low-born or born with a silver spoon in their mouth.

They have a five-year cycle that moves within them for the duration of their entire life. A move, a job change, getting fired, walking away from something, getting married, getting divorced, or starting a business can occur. And it is personal as well as professional. Zeus is a “tumbleweed” rolling along, changing direction and heading off into a new direction to be educated about when that five-year “winds of change” cycle comes along.

POSEIDON, higher octave of NEPTUNE

The Poseidon in my chart is at 7° Libra 24′ retrograde. It is conjunct my Neptune at 5° Libra 59′ retrograde in my natal chart. They both play strongly in my six-Yod placements. Penelope Bertucelli has the best information on the Uranian planets. If you are lucky enough to get one of her manuals from the Phoenix Workshop, Uranian Astrology Manual Cosmobiology Conference, grab it. Truly, it’s one of the best descriptions of each of the eight “sensitive points” in 4D. I call them planets too. The others are in 3D.

Both work together and combine their energies via aspects to one another.Penelope calls Poseidon a “mental light” that brings, as she says, “insight and enlightenment” (up to and including our spiritual self for this incarnation). Some may call it a religion, others spirituality, or deep metaphysics and that which is not seen (like the Uranian planets), but its power is felt and works deeply within our template of incarnation alongside our spiritual plan for this lifetime.

If Poseidon is strong in the chart, as mine is, Penny says “one will be well-educated and be recognised in the intellectual fields of journalism, literature, or publishing.” I have been an author for over 40 years, with over 200 books published. My pseudonym is Lindsay McKenna. Twenty-three million books were sold to thirty-three foreign countries, including the USA. I wrote about love, romance novels, and turned that world upside down and inside out. I created three new ways to increase book sales for publishers around the world

Poseidon, when elevated, makes that individual famous in some way, shape, or form. I have had two of my books on the New York Times Best Seller list (that’s akin to winning an Oscar if you’re a Hollywood actor or actress). The highest honour in fiction is the NYT list. That is when you know you have “arrived”.

Like all planets, there is a light and dark side to each one of them. There is no “good” planet, nor is another planet seen as a “bad” planet. I see each planet like a wooden ruler we use to measure something. One end is dark and the other is light. In the middle are different shades of light and dark within each of us. No one in any incarnation will be entirely “good” and someone else “bad”. It’s always a mix. We’re here to improve upon our spirit and listen to our heart and intuition to lead us to the light. If one does not, then we move into greyness (depression) and darkness if we don’t turn around and make the changes that are needed in this lifetime.
Poseidon’s light abilities:
    1. The Light of Spirit: They are interested in truth, enlightenment, spiritual evolution, philosophy, and the search for ‘Truth’. Such an individual is morally incorruptible, has high moral standards, and is trusting and honest to a fault.
    2. Power in words: They may be found in many kinds of vocation, but their skills are focused on speaking, writing, education, and teaching. You will find them in universities and colleges as teachers, professors, or within academia — the “paper chase”.
    3. Think tanks: Visionaries for the future. Idea people who see beyond “now.”
    4. Value of light: These people value ‘light’, which can be interpreted on many levels. All of it is in the mental and spiritual sphere. They prefer jobs or work in an institution where their mind and its qualities are triggered and utilised. [1]
    5. Lifelong seekers: Others can be on a lifelong path of forever seeking Truth and Enlightenment. These people hang around with spiritual teachers or gurus and may live in a commune, go to India, or follow their teacher from place to place. Alternatively, they can go through an organised religion route as well. [1, 2]
    6. Mental engagement: You will find them in any kind of ‘mental work’ where they are being tasked and challenged mentally. This includes some little-known brain functions, such as “spatial” intelligence. They feel most alive and most useful to the world. They are world-changers for the betterment of all beings. [1]
    7. Esoteric expressions: On the more spiritual or esoteric side of Poseidon, it produces spiritualists, prophets, spiritualist mediums, clairvoyants, shamans, astrologers, tarot readers, and those who are able to penetrate the veil into the other worlds or dimensions in search of “Truth” and ‘enlightenment’ for themselves and others. They are our universal messengers who bring truth and light to our dark world. They can bring light into us as individuals as well. [1, 2]
    8. Connection of ideas: Idea people. They are able to make the quantum leap to connect ideas. This includes scientists, quantum physicists, or any field where mental exercise and connections are primary. They possess genius skill and ability in some focused area.

You might say that Poseidon is the ultimate light in our 3D existence; the highest and greatest love, compassion, kindness, and unselfishness, helping us finally get our diploma and graduate to a higher existence at some point in our own soul’s growth.

Poseidon is also our darkest in our 3D world. The ultimate darkest human being is Adolf Hitler, the Second World War German dictator who killed or gassed millions of Jewish children, women, and men in the gas chambers. Hitler is the ultimate monster of darkness in my time on Earth.

1. On the unhealthy side, a “heavy” energy individual. A person who uses their intellect to manipulate others with their speech/tongue. Brain washers. Swindlers. Liars. Con men. Cultists. Fraudsters. Religious zealots. Fanatics of any kind. Their philosophy/way of believing/religion is better than anyone else’s. Propaganda. “Spin-doctoring.”

2. This person can be very closed-minded. Once they have their mental construct of the world in place; they usually cannot be budged/changed from it. Opinionated. Judgmental. Rigid in their belief system or how they see the world. The opposite type has a “live-and-let-live” attitude toward everyone. They understand there are millions of realities and don’t draw a judgment on others and their beliefs.

3. Abusers who verbally abuses others; dictator (like Hitler), who controls with their intellectual power, the swaying power of their tongue/speech. Lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq that supposedly gave Bush permission to go to war there, are perfect examples of distorted/twisted speech and the dissemination of lies and brainwashing to the people and world. This isn’t just found in the US government –- it can be found everywhere around our globe.

4. Cult leader in some rigid, fixed belief system or philosophy (ex: Hitler, Jim Jones, David Koresh, etc.). The ability to sway people into believing their pabulum.

5. “In their head” and cut off from their emotions. “Head tripper.” A person who is disconnected, out of touch, repressed/suppressed emotionally and who lives only in their head. In time, this will create health problems.

MEDICAL ISSUES REGARDING POSEIDON:

  1. Often found in the death of a person. It has the power of dying as strongly as the Moon’s Nodes do, and of Saturn’s position in that individual’s progressed chart. Poseidon is about ‘spirit matter’ and turning back into ‘spirit’ (leaving the physical body behind in order to return to the amorphous 4D world after their physical body dies).
  1. Mental disorders ranging from acute psychotic break to chronic psychosis, schizophrenia, and OCD, obsessive-compulsive disorders among many other brain induced medical issues.
  1. Mentally challenged individuals.
  2. Down’s Syndrome. Although these are but two, other brain issues also fall under Poseidon.
  3. Spiritual crisis; Kundalini unfoldment (if it goes ‘wrong’ there can be health implications on any one of the following levels: spiritual, mental, emotional and physical).
  4. Drug addiction — reason is to escape into the refinement of their head-tripping/mental realm, also to ‘explore’ the inner landscape of their mind to find ‘enlightenment’.
  5. Dyslexia.
  1. Mentally unstable; prone to ‘nervous breakdown.’ Or a Break Down for a Breakthrough
  2. Crisis in consciousness. Can mean the person may need to go through a mental breakdown to make a breakthrough to a new level of understanding within themselves. Can also involve spiritual crisis as well; or both.
  3. Stammering
  4. Speech disorders in general.
  5. Creates a world in their head to live in; out of touch with reality. Disassociated.
  6. Epilepsy.
  7. ADD/ADHD.
