Keeping an Eye on the Real Sky — Part 6
By Agent 12 Julija Simas
February begins with Saturn falling into the Sun and Mercury at its highest morning star altitude, with Mars and Jupiter in the night sky getting lower and dimmer as Venus does the opposite rising higher and brighter night after night till July 2023. There is also the Green Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), passing Mars and Aldebaran in the Taurus constellation, see if you can spot it till about Feb 24th.
Venus meets Neptune at 24° Pisces on Feb 15th, and they will also be parallel. We can learn how to easily track parallel planets by using a graphic ephemeris, see image below. Here we can see where planets align and meet by declination, that astrologers call - parallel.
The graphic ephemeris makes it also easy to track retrograde planets as they dip down in the graph. See if you can find the retrogrades of Mercury and the one of Venus coming up. A double whammy is when they meet by parallel and longitude. Some examples highlighted on the graph below give a better indication of what to look for.
1. Feb 11th - Mercury /Pluto - South
2. Feb 13th - Sun/Saturn - South
3. Feb 15th - Venus /Neptune - South
4. May17th -Mercury retrograde meets Jupiter - North
5. July 4th - Mars/Venus meet parallel in Leo, yet never
quite meet by conjunction till 2024, this time together with Jupiter in Taurus in the 13th parallel -
North
On 23rd Feb the Moon will occult Jupiter, only to be witnessed over Argentina, Antarctica, Chile. Occultations are a great example of when the syzygy of declination and a zodiacal conjunction occur. Super interesting is that the last Jupiter Moon occultation happened on 23rd JAN 2020 during the great Capricorn stellium.
Another lunar occultation of Mars happens on February 28th, only visible over Greenland with the next only in 2024. There have been quite a few Mars occultations in past 2 months, notably the one on December 8th 2022, just as we got news of the successful Nuclear Fusion Experiment, 5 Dec 2022 (see Image 2), with Mars (energy) retrograde in Gemini (2 atoms fused), Mars Out Of bounds (beyond the norm), the Sun was on 14° Sagittarius the Great Attractor (super cosmic conductor) with Mars at 17° Gemini, just post their opposition, but quiet fittingly also conjunct the North Node and South Nodes of Uranus currently at 14° Gemini NN and Sagittarius SN. As was said in the previous SKY SPY, amazing feats happen with Mars retrograde!
In March a cosmic delight is Venus meeting Jupiter and Chiron on March 2nd, also parallel. Saturn's move into Pisces on March 7th happens in the morning skies, as he rises out of the Sun's beams around this time. The March Equinox is worth looking at in more detail.
What else can you see from the graphic ephemeris? A class on this subject is being planned for C*I*A Academy this year so stay tuned.

The Geodetic Map of the Aries Ingress 2023
In this map you can foresee the areas where eclipses will be, the coming Venus and Mercury retrograde's and planets moving through the sign throughout the year
TheA*C*G Map of the Aries Ingress 2023
In this map you can see the planetary paths at the exact time of the Sun's Ingress into Aries, which is used to look at hotspots for the whole year ahead and particularly the next 3 months.
The Aries Ingress using Geodetic and ACG Maps
I've always loved the simplicity of looking at a geodetic chart, once you work out how to read it . They show to be profoundly accurate. I was astounded when realising I was born in Sydney - with 21° Sagittarius rising, and this degree goes right through Sydney in the geodetic map, with zero Virgo my MC, the same on the geodetic Map. I was instantly curious to find out more. A great exercise is to find your own co-ordinates on the GEO map and see how they connect to your life. Note, they won't all line up like mine with ASC and MC the same for both Astrology chart and GEO map, that's quiet a fluke, but see where it takes you, how may you relate to this place?
The Geodetic AstroMap places the zodiac across a map of the world, starting at Greenwich with zero Aries and moving east in 30 degree increments around the globe. The same goes for the rising and setting places of the zodiac. As you see in the chart 1 - Aries on the ASC begins 90 degrees to the west of zero Aries on the MC, and Cancer ASCending 90 degrees to the east and so on.
Using these fixed angles on a geodetic map gives us a quick glance at a planets position and therefore influence on the globe, showing places where tensions and political activity escalate, eclipses show more punch, and extreme weather, earthquakes are highlighted .
Let's consider a few examples in the past year: Jupiter crossed zero Aries point 3 times. We pinpoint this to the Greenwich UK line. Here we saw the political upheaval as 3 different Prime Ministers came and went and the death of the monarch. Over the past year Uranus has been moving through mid Taurus showing itself moving through Ukraine and from the ASCending perspective through Brazil. As I edit this, news comes to light of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria on Feb 6th, where the Leo Full Moon, just hours prior crossed exactly with the Nodal axis in this area. see Image on next page.
Now as we look at the Aries ingress geodetic map for 2023, by focusing on the major planets let's see what we can find.
- Venus will retrograde in the Leo area in August 2023, at the MC in Eastern China and Australia, with Leo ASCending through central Europe and Eastern North Africa and the Middle East , this area also crossed by Uranus on the MC
- Jupiter moves through Europe and Africa meeting Chiron, and later the North Node, ASCending in Western South America and Eastern USA,Canada
- Saturn moves into Pisces and also a new area, moving off further into the Atlantic, highlighting Greenland and the Antarctic icecaps. In Jan 2022, when Saturn moved back into this area " A huge iceberg (1550 km²), almost the size of Greater London, broke off the 150m thick Brunt Ice Shelf. It calved after cracks that have been developing naturally over the last few years extended across the entire ice shelf, causing the new iceberg to break free." (1) (see image 2). Also ASCending in Central America, Middle USA & Canada.
- Uranus moves on further East fo Ukraine and Russia, highlighting the Middle East, Syria, Georgia, Israel and ASCending still over Brazil.
- Neptune is one to note over coming years as he gets closer to Zero Point Aries. Also ASCending in Central America, Middle USA and Canada.
- The big one is Pluto crossing into Aquarius and back to Capricorn over the next 2 years - highlighting the MC over MC Brazil and Argentina, moving off the East Coast of Northern America here also with Uranus crossing on ASC, with Pluto ASC over Northern East coast of USA and Canada
- Note where Eclipses will take place. The Solar eclipses in Taurus/Scorpio zones and the Lunar eclipses in Aries/Libra zones
Eclipse zones will most certainly be places to note throughout 2023. Let's consider the past year of eclipses in the Taurus Scorpio axis: the areas of ASCending included - Brazil (Taurus), Western and Northern Australia, Indonesia (Scorpio), at the IC of Ukraine and Moscow, Turkey and finishing near Tehran. As the nodal axis shifts midyear, the axis begins to move backwards into the Aries axis over Central Europe and Africa and then to cross over with Jupiter on June the 3rd right over the Ukraine. Could this be a positive signal for their road ahead. Let's hope so! The Libra area covers central and Northern China and Russia.
I have added also the astro*carto*graphy chart for Aries Ingress 2023. The key aspect for the Aries Ingress chart shows the Sun, opposite the only retrograde (dwarf) planet Ceres in Libra opposite and squared by Mars still OOB.
On the ACG Map we see these lines go through Brazil, middle Australia up into China and Japan, and on the East coast of Africa and into Saudi Arabia. If we remember the Capricorn Ingress 2022's, key aspect was a T-square between Sun, square Jupiter opposite Ceres. These lines crossed over Turkey and Ukraine (see C*I*A's Solstice panels where we discuss these charts in detail) Jupiter is conjunct Chiron and crosses over with Mars through Tehran, and with Pluto in Western California.
For the 2022 Aries Ingress the nodal axis was at the MC and IC over the UK and as we know great changes in leadership took place here. This time as the UK prepares to coronate the new King Charles, we see that the South Node rises and the North Node conjunct Venus at 4° Taurus sets over the UK.
To learn about the year ahead we must always review the year that's been, by examining closely these types of charts. As my mundane astrology mentor Ed Tamplin, Agent 42 always said, for mundane astrology you need to look at many charts together, not just one thing before making any kind of judgements. If you want to make political judgements study politics, economic judgements, study economic cycles as well.

The Geodetic Map of the Leo Full Moon prior to the devastating Earthquake on Feb 6th, 2023 crosses through Turkiye and Syria. We can see the Nodal axis lines in Taurus and the Sun/Moon line cross exactly over this area. Taurus is the MC in this zone, and Leo ascends.
At the same time Mars still OOB, met the North Node of Uranus, both at 11° Gemini
Another example - when war was declared upon Ukraine on Feb 24th 2022, Saturn was moving through Aquarius at 18 degrees, showing itself in the Leo zone, on the Descendant (Aquarius)right through the middle of Ukraine. Uranus can be seen at the MC in Moscow and eastern Ukraine.
We will be discussing the Aries ingress and more at our next C*I*A Panel mid March - stay tuned and make sure to be an email subscribed to receive our updates, announcements and free events.
