C*I*A update : August 2026

Welcome to our 16th edition of Timelords Magazine another issue with lots of interesting articles from our diverse group of writers. I always love seeing and the different range of astrological topics that come in, definitely not your usual that’s for sure: Horror Movies, Formula 1, a new asteroid Bennu and this time even a how to interpret a Dream article. Thank you yet again for Kamila’s devoted input and many hours in editing, loading up articles as well as her many artistic additions and images, now in her 3rd year as Editor.

The year had absolutely flown that’s for sure and as the C*I*A reaches it’s 21st return on August 23rd, 2026 , we can celebrate by seeing agents, member, colleagues and friends, at the coming UAC Conference in Chicago starting September 2nd, 2026. The C*I*A won’t be having a Trade Table this time, therefore won’t have our assigned meeting place, it is because for much of this year I wasn’t even sure I would be going, so many fellow travellers dropped out of coming, and I myself didn’t quite know until May that I for sure would attend. But a great way to be spotted as a C*I*A Agent, is bring and wear you T-Shirt. We would love to see you wearing it and meet you. I’m really looking forward to seeing many of you again and meeting new friends and cosmic allies. We will miss all the C*I*A Agents that won’t be making it this time and remember the many that have left us since the last UAC in 2018. We still miss them, their energy, their humour, their wisdom, their presence.

In a world now full of imposter AI astrology being generated all over the place, charming the crowds with catchy punchlines, picking up on the latest viral trends, and parroting things like “Barbault’s Basket” without even knowing who Barbault was, it seems the mission for us all remains as strong as ever, perhaps even stronger.

Astrology is alive and well in our world as more and more people open up to the idea that every moment is full of promise and potential. If we remember the C*I*A mission as it began, was from this very premise, “every moment is full of potential, promise” we started reporting on the everyday turning of the planets in our heavens and showing our followers how to see this in the skies. That simple idea grew into an Agency of Astrologers dedicated to promoting the intelligence inherent in astrology, helping people utilise its magic with confidence, to utilise asa tool to guide, inspire, heal and empower, to help us better understand the world, its cycles and patterns, and most of all, not to dumb astrology down, but to promote an understanding of this unique and very special language.

People used to tell me we should write for the layman so they could understand our astrological terms. I always replied that there was enough of that around already and that we needed to communicate in our own language, because that was the only way people who genuinely wanted to know and understand astrology would learn it. As the Cosmic Intelligence Agency has always believed, astrology is far more than entertainment or algorithmic content. Astrology is there for all to utilise if they enter its mysteries and magic. Astrology is like nothing else, it doesn’t ned to be hard core science to be understood and integrated, it is a living vibration in all of us. It is a living symbolic language that invites observation, study, wisdom and our conscious participation.

It is not just astrology but also astronomy that is being polluted by AI-generated depictions of impossible planetary alignments and celestial events, with thousands upon thousands liking and sharing this misinformation. AI has the potential to be an extraordinary tool, but seeing it used for quick-fix clickbait, fooling people into believing things are real when they are not, is making people less discerning rather than more informed. I worry especially for the younger generation of astrologers, many of whom are learning quickly but are increasingly relying on AI-generated content instead of developing a direct understanding of the real sky and astrology through observation, books, tradition and mentorship.

The task before us is not to compete with the noise, but to uphold the intelligent roots of our astrological traditions, honouring its rich history, preserving the lineage, nurturing our guides, teachers and researchers, while continuing to foster growth, innovation and independent thinking within our field.

The mission continues…

Following UAC, C*I*As’ long awaited Venus Journey through the Yucatan will take place. An event that was planned in 2020, and had to be put on hold, although on a smaller scale, became this great adventure. As we started promoting this event just before the War on Iran began and the subsequent Energy crisis, there were some doubts for a while, that we would get enough people to come during this global crisis, yet we kept our faith and mission strong and everything has worked out beautifully. I’m so looking forward to spending time with my great friends and colleagues, Ursula and Arielle again, and meeting Ale an Yuri in the flesh for the first time, even though we already feel like cosmic sista’s, and meeting and or seeing again, all the others that will be joining us from all over the world, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, USA, Canada, Malaysia and Barbados. Super exciting that 2 friends I met at Astrology Rising, Costa Rica 8 years ago and haven’t seen since will also be joining us. As the first ever retreat I have organized overseas, I am thrilled to see this now fully booked and we are all very excited and now can’t wait for this very special Venus adventure. Final bookings of hotels, buses and activities are now taking place, it will be a truly magnificent experience as Venus graces the evening sky in her brightest apparition.

For anyone in Mexico City, Agent Ursula is also organising a weekend event at her place over the weekend before our retreat from Friday the 11th to Sunday 13th September, where I will be doing an :

Introduction evening class on Astro Mapping on Friday the 11th September, 7-9pm
followed by a day class on the Venus Phases on Saturday the 12th 10-3pm,
then on Sunday the 13th September we are going on a day trip to Cacaxtla, an archaeological site about 2 hours from Mexico City, where we will visit the Mayan murals and the Venus Temple and the depictions of Venus as morning star and evening star.
