PART 2: The REAL Chart of Canada – Continued from TIMELORDS Magazine

Temperament

There are four temperaments – choleric, phlegmatic, sanguine, and melancholic. John Frawley calls it “the cloth from which the person is cut”.

  • Choleric (Fire) –Quick to anger, natural leaders, extroverted, goal oriented, and ambitious, All about winning, and at any cost, No negotiating, They love a good fight. They want to have total control over themselves and anyone around them.
  • Sanguine (Air) – friendly, slightly shallow, speak first, think afterward, networker, need to feel connected.
  • Melancholic (Water) – excellent attention to detail, expert analysis, quick to blame anyone but themselves, superb logical reasoning, need to be given all the facts and details. To them, life is a series of disappointments.
  • Phlegmatic (Earth) – Relaxed, loyal, caring, reliable, creative, Dislike challenging authority, Cooperative and want to contribute to other people’s happiness, Large sense of duty to do the right thing, Strong sense of justice, a belief in authority and what it stands for and will step in to break up fights and keep the peace.

Key National Events

Canadians regularly suffer jokes about ending every sentence with an apology. We are seen as casual, down-to-earth, reliable, and not quick to start fights, just finish them, when pushed to it. Some of the things people have said are:

  • "a better United States," as a country which enjoys a level of prosperity similar to its neighbour to the south but doesn't interfere in matters that don't concern it.
  • free and democratic country with a strong economy and a wonderful people(15)

There is no way that Canada is a Choleric temperament, so we will eliminate the Newfoundland Chart. Aries Rising makes no sense for Canada either, so I will eliminate the Legislation Chart as well.

National Pinch Points
The Battle of Vimy Ridge

“The Battle of Vimy Ridge was fought during the First World War from 9 to 12 April 1917. It is Canada’s most celebrated military victory — an often-mythologized symbol of the birth of Canadian national pride and awareness. The battle took place on the Western Front, in northern France. The four divisions of the Canadian Corps, fighting together for the first time, attacked the ridge from 9 to 12 April 1917 and captured it from the German army. The Battle of Vimy Ridge was fought during the First World War from 9 to 12 April 1917. It is Canada’s most celebrated military victory — an often-mythologized symbol of the birth of Canadian national pride and awareness”.

The Confederation Chart
The Battle Sun is in H10 the Battle Moon is in H4. Uranus at 22 fixed in the House of Death is in hard aspect to the Natal Sun at 08 cardinal (identity). No one expected us to do as well as we did – not even us!
The Battle Ascendant is on the Confederation Chart midheaven and natal Chiron. The Battle Chart midheaven is in the 6th house of the army.
Saturn is in good condition and in the 1st house of identity. It supports the Sun here – As ruler of the 7th House it does testify that our enemy was formidable. We took large casualties, yet Vimy gave us a sense of ourselves as a sovereign nation.
Canada had just experienced a Progressed Full Moon in the houses of self vs humanity, sextile Chiron (healing wounds) in the house of government. This was also a Chiron return for Canada.
The army is ruled by Jupiter, transiting the progressed MC and Pluto and squaring progressed Mars, in the second house of values.
In short, this chart comes alive when set nest to the Vimy Ridge chart and accurately tells the story of our costly coming of age as a nation.

The Proclamation Chart
The Battle Sun is in H7 the Battle Moon is in H2. Transiting Uranus, ruler of the Army, sits at 22 fixed in the 5th house of speculation and gambling, in hard aspect to the natal Sun at 08 cardinal (identity).
Saturn, co-ruler of the Army, is in the 10th House of Government. This placement makes sense in terms of our Army giving us a clearer sense of ourselves.
We had just experienced a Chiron return in the 7th House of Justice / Enemies. Chiron is the Wounded Healer, and I struggle to link a wounded healer to the victory at Vimy. It is true that we have many casualties, but we far exceeded our own and others’ expectations.
The Transiting North Node is in the 4th House of the People, which is in opposition to the Government. Vimy was a huge boost for the Canadian Government, not an opposition to it.

This chart is not telling a compeling story about the victory at Vimy.

  The Noon Chart

The Battle Sun is in H7 the Battle Moon is in H2. The ruler of the 7th of Open Enemies is in its own sign of Aries also in the 7th.
Uranus at 22 fixed in the house of death is in hard aspect to the natal sun at 08 cardinal (identity)
Transiting Mars, mundane ruler of armies opposes the progressed Mars in the 12th and 7th. The 7th house makes sense, but the 12th not really.
The army is ruled by Jupiter, and also Neptune. Jupiter was transiting the 8th house, not making any aspect. Neptune is transiting the 10th House of government. I would understand a Neptune link to our government if this were the Dieppe Raid chart, but there was no underhandedness at Vimy, it was a straightforward battle.

This chart performs better than the Proclamation chart in terms of Vimy, but nowhere near as well as the Charlottetown chart.

The 215

Far from the national self-image we have as an open-minded, democracy-loving, inclusive nation, it has recently come to light that Canada was in fact founded on genocide. In 2021, in Kamloops BC, 215 graves were discovered by Professor Diena Jules using side-scan sonar. The phone call to the band chief came in the afternoon of Sunday, 23 May, 2021, at roughly 3pm

The Language and Culture Department of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation was responsible for the search, but manager Ted Gottfriedson thought it would be too emotionally difficult for him to attend. Diena Jules called him with the results.

“Diena called me on Sunday and said, you know, there’s 215 graves down here. It almost knocked me off my feet. I was devastated,‘’ he says. “I just couldn’t believe it. I kept repeating it, I said: “Did you say 215? Yup, Two-one-five.”

The Charlottetown Chart

The Charlottetown Chart is on fire when compared to the call to the Band Chief. The time is rough, so the MC is not exact, nevertheless, it is within range of a conjunction to the 12th House Uranus. Natal Ceres, symbol of lost children, sits at 5 degrees of Sagittarius in the House of Childeren and is in partile inconjunct to Uranus in the 12th and well within range of the MC of that fateful phone call.

Mars, the Ruler of the 5th house (children) and the intercepted 10th (reputation) is having a return in the 1st house of identity.

The progressed Moon (evolving public opinion) is on the North Node of destiny in the 3rd House of communication.

The progressed Sun (unfolding identity) is quincunx (adjustment) the natal Sun, also in the 3rd house .

Transiting Jupiter (religion, priests, the justice system) is on progressed Jupiter in the 9th house of religion.

The progressed (unfolding) Moon is trine the natal Moon (will of the people) in the 7th house of open enemies. I see the trine as a positive sign, that all the peoples of Canada are ready for justice to be served.

The Proclamation Chart

The 215 Phone Call Sun falls in the 9th House of religion and the Moon falls in the 2nd house of values. That symbolism rings true for priests and questionable values.

Its ascendant falls in the 1st House of identity and its Midheaven falls in the 10th house of national reputation. These discoveries are horrible, but I have heard them described as seeds from which justice will grow.

The progressed Moon (evolving public opinion) is in the 5th house of children, trine transiting Venus on the midheaven– the natural ruler of values.

The progressed Sun (unfolding identity) is quincunx (adjustment) the natal Sun in the 3rd house of communication.

This chart is not as powerful as the Charlottetown chart, but it does tell the story of a values shift regarding religious wrongdoing.

The Noon Chart

The 215 Phone Call Sun falls in the 8th House of Public mortality and the Moon falls in the 2nd house of values.

The 215 Ascendant is in the 12th house of secrets. The midheaven is in the 9th house of Religion.

The Progressed Sun (unfolding identity) is in the 3rd House of communication and the progressed Moon (unfolding public opinion) is in the house of children.

This chart is not as powerful as the Charlottetown chart, but it does tell a story of of a shift in values based on something to do with children and the Church.

Jean Chrétian’s Popularity
In a poll ranking Canadian Prime Ministers by approval rating, Jean Chrétien ranked first in popularity with 66% of the popular vote. (18) The Moon is the people in a Mundane chart, so we need to see a connection between this PM’s chart and the Canadian Chart.

The Charlottetown Chart
Jean Chrétien’s Sun is on the Charlottetown Chart’s Moon.
This is a direct indication of public approval.

The Proclamation Chart
Jean Chrétien’s Sun is in the 4th House of the people. There is no connection to the Moon of the Proclamation Chart. His Moon is on Saturn, symbol of public sorrow and disappointment. This chart does not work for this test.

The Noon Chart
Jean Chrétien’s Sun is in the 4th, House of the People. sextile the Moon of the Proclamation Chart.
His Moon is on Saturn, symbol of public sorrow and disappointment. This chart is not convincing for this test

In conclusion, although the Proclamation chart and the noon chart have soft hits to do with key national events, the Charlottetown chart of 11 am 29 March 1867, Charlottetown PEI is by far the best measure of events in Canada’s history.

13 Astrologer Rab Wilkie, citing a newspaper published on July 2, 1867: "The 12:05 p.m. moment is based on an eye- (and ear-) witness account published in the local Ottawa newspaper the following day [...] the time [cited] was when the Canadian cannon boomed in a most public and ceremonial manner. It was scheduled in fact for noon on the dot, but a dud fuse had to be replaced which delayed the salute for 'about five minutes', according to the newspaper reporter." (Private correspondence with Wilkie, 9 Nov 1998.) It is probably due to a similar research results that Campion states: "The advent of the state was hailed at 00.05 hrs. by the ringing of bells and a 101-gun salute, although the legislation would have come into effect five minutes earlier." "The Book of World Horoscopes," p. 110.
