Piercing the Veil: Mars in Capricorn 2020

Mars continues his climb up the craggy Capricorn mountain through the first half of March, squaring partnership asteroid Juno on the 13th and sextiling Neptune on the 14th. These aspects suggest some tensions in relationships as we test the boundaries of our more intimate connections. Mars/Neptune always indicates a time when we can go beyond limits – whether speeding on the highway or pressing an issue at work.

Crusader: Mars in Sagittarius 3 January – 16 February 2020

Mars wades out of the dark waters of Scorpio and into Sagittarius on the third day of 2020, starting the year and the decade in the upward-leaning sign of the archer. In Jupiter’s home sign, Mars is more outgoing and assertive, acting on beliefs and fighting for a cause. The fiery nature of Sagittarius is suited to Mars’ temperament, even if its emphasis on philosophy is not.

ENTER 2020: Stepping Forward by Learning from the Past

2020  marks the opening of a new world era signified by rare outer planetary alignments. It is a significant year that  requires a new set of rules and assumptions about time and reality along with new approaches to leadership, governance, care for the environment and serious visions for the future. 2020 presents a turning point where the implications of ‘modern living’ have become very real and personal. On a socio-political level, it signifies the peak of autocratic rule while a shift to movements that support the common good will increasingly gain importance by the end of 2020.

NEPTUNE STATIONS DIRECT - OUT OF CHAOS EMERGES CLARITY

King of the oceans, the Roman Neptune (Greek Poseidon) rules primarily the seas and all other waterways, earthquakes, and horses. Water shape shifts; it flows; such fluidity helps us all adjust, fill, buoy or, more negatively, drown. Ergo, Neptune’s not exactly a black and white kinda energy… Often, water correlates to mood, intuition, sensitivity, and empathy. Represented by the ebb and flow of the ocean’s waves as the tide rises and recedes, Neptune’s indicative of a collectively eternal situation that calls for a certain amount of surrender in order to go with the natural flow…

Defensive Line: Mars in Scorpio 19 November 2019 – 3 January 2020

If the best defense is a good offense, we’re likely to feel very safe over the six weeks that Mars traverses his second home of Scorpio. Yet for many of us, there could be some anxieties brewing as the Cosmic Warrior is both active and reactive after being bogged down by paperwork and procedures in Libra. Mars plays defense in the sign of the scorpion. He’s up on the castle walls, firing catapults and arrows at the invaders – and perhaps also mistakenly at guests and well-meaning visitors. Usually, he fires a few warning shots before taking serious aim, but that may not be the case this time around.

The Great Planetary Cycles of 2020 and
Your Personal Well-being

The Great Planetary Cycles of 2020 and Your Personal Well-beingDuring January until December 2020 we will experience the very rare triple conjunction of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. This not only marks the beginning of three new cycles but also their endings. On January 12, 2020 Saturn and Pluto will make their exact conjunction in Capricorn, while Jupiter and Pluto will meet three times during April and November in the ambitious and conservative sign of the Mountain Goat. However, Jupiter and Saturn will move into innovative Aquarius before they make their conjunction on December 21st 2020, the time of our summer solstice.

Re-Claiming the Fish: Saturn and Capricorn in the Age of Aquarius.

In Astrology, the sign of Capricorn is said to be a feminine sign, and both the sign and it’s ruler are represented by the sea-goat which is a creature of impossibility with the front half of a goat and the tail of a fish.  Over millennia of Patriarchal rule and conditioning the planet and sign has lost it’s yin qualities with the sea-goat becoming a goat alone much of the time and Saturn and Capricorn being said to represent the Father amongst other things. Saturn and Capricorn have been spoken of in Astrology as harsh, cold and unloving and this article challenges that as being a reflection of the patriarchy itself.

A CRUCIAL GATHERING: KETU, SATURN AND PLUTO IN CAPRICORN

Ketu (the transiting lunar south node) entered Capricorn in November 2018. It met Pluto late December 2018 and will join Saturn early March 2019. This leads to a Ketu, Pluto, and Saturn conjunction, active from March to September 2019. This particular astrological event may bring tangible consequences.  Inseparable from philosophy and the meaning of life, astrology illustrates how our lives and destinies--terms that refer both to usage and destination--tend toward a finality, or self-realization unconnected to wealth, power, or fame

Mercury TRANSIT November 11th, 2019

On Monday, 2019 November 11, Mercury will transit the Sun for the first time since 2016. The transit or eclipse of a planet across the face of the Sun is a relatively rare occurrence. As seen from Earth, only transits of Mercury and Venus are possible. There are approximately 13 transits of Mercury each century. In comparison, transits of Venus occur in pairs with more than a century separating each pair. • ‘Transit of Mercury’ – or Mercury moving over the face of the Sun (eclipsing)– always when Mercury is retrograde • Occurs on Nov 11th 2019 @ 19 degrees Scorpio - takes around 7 hours to pass by the Sun • Always on Taurus/Scorpio axis – last one in 2016 was in Taurus – previous 2006 in Scorpio.   It occurs because Mercury and the Sun line up, syzygy like an eclipse at the North Node of Mercury(Mercury's crossing point wth the ecliptic, Sun's path. • Next one not until Nov 13th 2032!

The Fractal Nature of Astrology with the Venus Star

As seekers of astrological wisdom we are often confronted by the bigger questions of why does astrology work. We know it works, we see it working in our lives and in our clients lives, in the world around us and in so many varied and profoundly interesting ways, yet it is hard to define exactly how or why it works, as not one single explanation will ever suffice. Something that has helped enlighten my journey of astrological understanding, of why the patterns and cycles of the planets continue to coincide with our lives, is the understanding of astrology as a dynamic fractal like system, set off at birth with its own unique formula and conditions, that then continues to unfurl and unfold as a never ending fractal like pattern of growth.

Out of Balance: Mars in Libra, 4 October to 19 November, 2019

The Cosmic Warrior strides into Libra on the 4th of October this year, only to be reminded by his host, Venus, to wipe his muddy boots – or better yet leave them at the door. Mars isn’t too happy in rule-oriented and mannered Libra, but he’ll be quite busy over the next six weeks. The theme of this time is overcoming restrictions, as we work through Mars in Libra while Mercury is retrograde (or in his shadow). Little is said or done directly, and we could feel that backroom deals are going on out of sight, or that we’re mired in bureaucracy.

The Lunar Occultations of 2019 : The Circle of Grandmothers and the New World Order

What is a lunar occultation? This phenomenon occurs when the Moon passes between the earth and a star or planet, temporarily obscuring it from our viewi. It’s an eclipse of sorts, and requires an exact alignment in several different celestial planes. Because they are unified on more than one plane of measurement, these occultations are more than a simple conjunction and deserve an elevated delineation. We interpret regular eclipses as endings and beginnings, seed times when circumstances and conditions are ripe for change and development.

The next Venus Star Loop - Scorpio, Leo, Gemini
 - October 2018 - June 2020

The next 584 day, 19 mth, 1.6 year synodic* cycle, Venus’ next round of the Sun, begins as the current one ends with the interior retrograde conjunction at 3°06’ Scorpio on 26th October UTC. It then peaks midpoint in its cycle at 21° Leo  on Aug 14th,  2019 at the direct exterior conjunction, before Venus swings back down to earth for the next end and begining at 14° Gemini on June 4th, 2020 for the next retrograde interior conjunction. . In her never ending 5 pointed cycle, Venus, who acts somewhat like a Cosmic Bee, is set to pollinate her next Star points, her inner and outer conjunctions with the Sun, inner being the retrograde conjunctions with the Sun, and outer being when she transits on the other side of the Sun, opposite to Earth.

On April 17th 2018, at approximately 9.30am GMT Chiron moves from the ethereal and indefinite waters of Pisces, to begin a new Astrological Cycle in the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries, where it will remain until April 2027. Taking Fifty years to complete a full cycle of the horoscope, Chiron, maverick wanderer of our solar system, has been identified since his discovery with the archetype of the wounded healer.

Renewed Earth - Uranus in Taurus - 2018/2019 until July 2025

Uranus enters Taurus May 2018 until July 2025 …for first time in 84 years! Time for a New Earth When this revolutionary change agent comes calling to each sign every seven years we experience an upgrade in the affairs of the sign, in this case Taurus, with far reaching implications.  His rulership over science and technology, plus human rights movements assures us of radical departures from existing conditions across the board. As he is the key player in our unfolding revolution, his entrance into Taurus for the first time since 1934 in his 84 year cycle is hugely significant.  Our Sky God is about to come down to earth to revolutionize our ecological systems with a wave of amazing inventions and groups of people who will clean up our world over the next 7 years.  He’s also about to freshen up, to put it mildly, existing financial values and systems.

Nodal Shift - Planetary Zeitgeist

The wheel has turned and it’s calling us to `come home.’  As of November 15th, the lunar nodes shifted in the Cancer-Capricorn polarity, and remain there until June 4th 2020. Collectively and individually the nodal shift whispers; Where is home? Where do you belong? And how may I sooth my insecurities, release my fears and quell my loneliness? The lunar nodes form the backbone of evolutionary astrology; rich in symbolism pertaining to destiny and karma.

Jupiter in Sagittarius: Igniting Fresh Meaning & Purpose in Our Lives!

As Jupiter enters Sagittarius on November 8th for the first time since 2007, the global scene has rarely been in such a state of ‘high tension’. So it is with great interest I consider the implications of the year ahead into 2019, as Jupiter’s ‘job’ is to expand and enlarge the theme of the sign he triggers, and Sagittarius is all about the nature of TRUTH & BELIEFS.

What is your Moon Phase?

The Moon Phase that you were born under says a great deal about the dynamic of your life, the general energetic direction with which you approach things and the script that you are working with. Although seemingly a small thing, it often represents a thread which can permeate your entire life, and is often backed up by other aspects and themes in the natal chart.

The synchronization between the arrival of revolutionary Uranus into Taurus for the first time since 1934 plus Mars into Aquarius on May 16th triggered an unprecedented new era in our collective evolutionary process. Sky God Uranus is famous for his maverick rule breaking eccentricities

The Sacred Dance of Venus and Mars continues

The dance that the celestial lovers create in the sky mirrors our relationship patterns. This interplay also reflects their roles as key archetypes of feminine and masculine energy. The fact that Venus and Mars are on opposite sides of the Earth in the solar system mirrors their astrological rulership as opposing signs of the zodiac. They are also opposing forces in physics in their association as metals copper and iron. In every aspect of their relationship they work in unison, always as a pair of opposites.
