January 2023: Sun Sign update

with AGENT 300 - ROSE MARCUS

ARIES March 19/20 – April 19

Despite Mercury, Mars, and Uranus on retrograde tours, look to Jupiter in Aries to keep you energized and on the go right out the 2023 starting gate. Venus in Aquarius, starting January 2, also sparks fresh incentive.  January 5 to 9 puts synchronicity into play in an opportune, perhaps in a financially lucrative way.  You can feel a strong sense of destiny or of karmic potency at play regarding conversations, meetings, and interactions. Plans or circumstances can change, especially while Mercury continues in retrograde, so be it. January 11 to 14 marks a threshold crossing point regarding making a decision, changing your mind, and/or moving onto a next step or track.

Mars in Gemini ends retrograde on January 12. Mercury in Capricorn ends retrograde on January 18. Instead of hindering, both transits are now set to help to surpass the barrier, block, uncertainty, confusion, or delay that has recently prevented full steam ahead.

The extreme super new moon in Aquarius on January 21 could springboard you, perhaps unexpectedly. Uranus ends retrograde on January 22. On this same day Venus/Saturn conjoin in Aquarius. These few days or the weeks that follow could set a whole new reality into play. Venus/Saturn could see you achieve, gain, or discover something of value or importance. You could reach a professional milestone or goal, get recognized or selected, or gain special attention.  Venus/Saturn can bring a project or ambition to fruition or to an end. (Whether by choice or by circumstance, you could be relieved to be cut loose.) These few days could also mark a special anniversary (perhaps the whole month does). The combination of Venus/Saturn, the extreme super new moon, and Uranus at the end of its retrograde tour can set a backdrop for a complete inner life or outer life reinvention.

What can you expect from the year ahead? The extreme super new moon marks the start of several months of full swing. Mars (to end of March) and Jupiter (to mid May) keeping you, your ambitions, and projects on the go. March is a significant shift gears month thanks to Mars, Saturn, and Pluto on sign changes. At the start of March, Saturn will exit Aquarius for Pisces. At the end of March, Pluto will exit Capricorn for a brief stay in Aquarius. After seven months, Mars leaves Gemini for Cancer. Saturn can work in several ways. It can diffuse tensions or apprehensions, and smooth over rough edges. It could see you letting go of more and/or giving yourself permission to take more quality time out, to pull back, to regroup, to simplify, to heal and/or to ease up on pressures. On the other hand, it could see you submerge yourself in something that holds great appeal or intrigue (a budding project, a creative pursuit, a spiritual quest, a journey of heart).

2023 marks the start of a significant reinvention of all your relationships – self to self, self to other and to others, to your money, to your career, and to your daily reality!

TAURUS April 19 – May 20

Mercury and Mars open the month in retrograde motion. Backtracks, sidetracks and delays are typical of the retrograde cycle. Even so, Venus, freshly into Aquarius, aims to keep you breaking fresh ground, especially where you will gain the most benefit. That could mean inspiring you or pushing you to adopt a more independent stance regarding a personal or professional matter. Watch for matters to unfold and to become progressively better informed while Mars (to January 12) and Mercury (to January 18) continue in retrograde.

Things can fall into place and or work out surprisingly well January 6 to 9. Stay up to speed and open to entertaining new prospects and possibilities. A new career, job, or personal life status is in the works. January 20 to 22 or the weeks following can jettison you in a definitive, no-turning-back way. There is no need to dwell on what was or what could have been. What is in front of you is exceptionally opportune and worth embracing wholeheartedly. Bring your best to the table, rise to the challenge, take a risk on a reinvented tomorrow.

Starting in March, Saturn will enter Pisces. This transit can help you to ease into the changes that lie on the road ahead, to go with the flow better.  As of mid May, Jupiter, will enter Taurus. Where-ever it goes, Jupiter bestows more of everything. It is a great transit when it is desired abundance, but not so great when it gives you more to contend with. For this reason, it is worth your while to spend the first five months of the year clearing your clutter, so that you set yourself up to receive Jupiter’s gifts rather than Jupiter’s onslaught. Overall, Jupiter in Taurus is a fertile, lucrative, and luscious signature. (A weight gain is common for this transit.)

If you do not get as far as you hope to in the first half of the year, you will have another window in the second half. Venus in Leo (retrograde from the end of July to the start of September) will assist you to figure out what is in your best interests and to put you better in touch with your heart and your creative center.

GEMINI May 20 – June 20

The holidays and the recent backtracks will soon be history. January opens with Jupiter freshly into Aries and Venus freshly into Aquarius. Despite Mercury retrograde putting you under added pressure, delay, or limitation (to January 18), where there is a will – or a need – you will find a way! Expect your days to continue full to the brim from month’s beginning to end. In fact, there is no end in sight.

Mars, the action/assertion planet, has been on tour in Gemini since the middle of August. I have written about this transit in the past several columns. Mars turned retrograde at the end of October. The past couple of months have likely kept you on a back and forth re options, plans, choices, negotiations, and conversations (ones that you have with yourself as well as with others). As of January 12, Mars ends retrograde, but you will have another two months to get the goods out of this transit. This last leg of Mars in Gemini (January 12 to March 26) is the “go” part of the entire cycle. Mars will now give you a stronger sense of direction and help you to select the best course of action. It will do that through making choices more obvious.  The prompt could also create a shift of interest, focus, or fresh incentive.

Venus enters Aquarius on January 2. A revitalizing transit, Venus can put fresh product on the market. It is a good transit to make social inroads, explore new interests, avenues, and possibilities, or to embark on lifestyle changes. It can also revitalize creative projects or bring renewed public interest in what you have to offer.  Regarding all the above, January 5 to 9 (and January 18 -22) can put everything into a much fuller swing (including the unexpected.)

Mercury in Capricorn ends retrograde on January 18. Delayed or held up no longer, the week that follows could fast track you, perhaps unexpected so. Stay present in the moment and seize opportunity when you see it. Fresh incentive and synchronicity can be at peak thanks to the sun’s entrance into Aquarius on January 20, the extreme super new moon in Aquarius on January 21, and the end of Uranus retrograde (ruler of Aquarius) on January 22. Venus/Saturn (conjunction, January 22) makes it real! This duo can see you reach a goal, a milestone, or an ending of significance. (Happy Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit!)

March brings three major planetary shifts. Saturn leaves Aquarius for Pisces, a dissolving and relinquishing influence. Pluto will enter Aquarius for a brief preview of what is to come in 2024 and beyond. Eclipses in the spring and fall, along with the karmic axis shift to Aries/Libra puts relationship (starting with self to self) and lifestyle reinvention to the top of the to-do pile.

CANCER June 20 – July 22

To January 18, Mercury retrograde can you keep occupied with the past. That could be through memory recall, a catch up, an unexpected revisit, or through confronting something that is unresolved. The full moon in Cancer on January 6 could produce an emotionally charged few days. There can be a tough conversation to have or a battle to face, but once the ice is broken, it paves the way for swift progress.

On the other hand, January 5 to 9 can trigger opportune talks, negotiations, a fresh discovery process, insight, or breakthrough. Too, these dates could speed up a process, circumstance, or learning curve. January 11 to 14 also set a backdrop for moving it along, perhaps unexpectedly so.

Mars ends retrograde on January 12, but it does not leave trend setting Gemini until the end of March. From now until then, Mars stays active behind the scenes – and so should you. It is a good time to develop projects and test the waters. Aim to get yourself prepped and ready for spring/next season and spring forward time.

January 20 to 22 are also opportune for breaking new ground and/or diving into it fresh. January 20, the sun enters Aquarius. January 21 brings an extreme super new moon in Aquarius. January 22, Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, ends a five-month retrograde cycle, and Venus/Saturn form a conjunction in Aquarius. That is a lot of “snap, crackle, pop” over a few days. Grouped together, this run of stars is sure to spark something of significance! Whether fruition and attainment, bringing it to a head, or to end of the road, Venus/Saturn makes it a reality. Watch the weather, watch the news. Trust your instincts. Reinvent the wheel!

The entire year ahead sets you up for a course change of significance. The first half of the year is best used for catching the wave, broadening the scope, and/or trying it on for size. The second half of the year (starting with birthday month, but more so from October forward) is for deciding what is worth keeping and what is not; whether the first portion of the year delivered and whether what you have-and-hold is worth more of your investment (time, money, heart) or whether it is time to look elsewhere for benefits and rewards.

LEO July 22 – August 22

Mercury retrograde (which began on December 29) can see you on a backtrack re health or work-related matters. Delays, things beyond your control, added expense via repair work or necessary upgrades is also typical of the cycle. On the useful end, Mercury retrograde can force you to address better efficiency and time management. It is to your benefit to get better organized, to cut back on unnecessary spending, and to stay realistic about what you can and cannot manage.

Having said the above, the full moon on January 6 and the days that follow could see you on the upswing, especially re connecting the dots, relating, and/or communication tracks.

One way or another, look to the end of Mars retrograde on January 12 to set your compass straight and to take the brakes off whatever has kept you from making progress. We will see mobilization through market action and what’s trending in the news. Mid month forward could spur you to resume your exercise regime, to hit the books, or to get on with plans and projects that may have been recently derailed. Too, Mars in Gemini and now in forward drive will point you in the direction of best options and next steps.

Mercury ends retrograde on January 18. The run of stars over the days that follow could see you or it hit a fast track. January 20, the sun enters Aquarius. January 21 delivers an extreme super new moon in Aquarius. January 22, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) ends retrograde, and Venus teams up with Saturn in Aquarius(conjunction). That is a lot of action in your opposite sign! Venus/Saturn can mark a fruition, goal post, milestone, notable achievement, or definitive finish, or ending of significance. Someone could enter or exit your life. These transits could springboard a new life adventure. It is all up for grabs!

The entire year ahead is set up for threshold crossing and for transitioning away from the past and into a completely reinvented future. The first half of the year continues to keep the focus on money, survival, and security, and on amassing, developing, or building the platform. The second half of the cycle puts greater emphasis on breaking new ground re personal development, relationship involvements (one on one, social, public) and contracts (karmic & actual).

VIRGO August 22 – September 22

January opens with Mercury in Capricorn at the start of a 3-week retrograde cycle (to January 18). While the usual backtracks, side tracks, health challenges, and added expense is to be expected of this transit, it has a positive application too. Mercury retrograde can break down a barrier or wall that needs to be moved out of the way. In so doing, it will allow for something new to filter in, to make its way to you. That wall or barrier could be a mindset, resistance, guilt, or a judgement that needs a revamp. It could be something more tangible, such as a new job or financial opportunity, a career, education, or lifestyle option. To the plus, a creative spark could light. That spark could be something or someone that triggers the heart. Under the influence of this month’s stars, you can feel a sense of destiny or fate writing the script. Encompassing an emotionally charged full moon in Cancer on January 6, watch January 5 to 9 to put opportunity into play. Seize the moment. Spontaneity could deliver well. If it cracks open, it was meant to. Good results will follow.

January 11 to 14 can also be threshold crossing and/or get it going time. Mars ends retrograde on January 12, but it will extend its tour of Gemini through the end of March. You may still have to juggle, or to continue along a challenging learning curve, but it does improve from here. Trust, one thing leads to another. With Mars retrograde out of the way, you will get a better handle on the things that have challenged you in recent months. Too, you can make better inroads with the boss, a parent, or an authority. Mars in Gemini is also a good transit for tending to skills upgrades, certification, or official paperwork, (i.e., citizenship status, licences, rental, lease, or loan agreements, membership renewals, and such).

Mercury ends retrograde on January 18. The days that follow can trigger something fresh or unexpected. You could stumble upon something that is opportune, well timed, or a great score. A creative solution could solves the problem, dilemma, or fill in the missing blank. A sudden insight or brainstorm is possible too. These few days are also optimal for upgrades or updates of all kinds. T

he extreme super new moon in Aquarius (January 22) is sure to kick it up a big notch. Venus/Saturn (conjunct) can mark a milestone or see you bring something to a successful conclusion and gain recognition for a job well done. Or it can see you at the start of something lucrative, career changing, or even life altering. If it is sudden and jolting for you, know that what is swept away is simply providing breathing space for something better to appear.

The year ahead can stretch you in ways you have not imagined possible. 2023 introduces a completely reinvented daily reality.  You are on the brink of so much more to come. You might take on a whole new line of work. Stay open-minded. Explore innovative health technologies, treatments, or specialists. Why not become a specialist yourself? Sign up for courses that broaden your mind and your skill sets. The first half of the year puts added emphasis on getting a better handle on finances and such. The second half of the year puts the spotlight on heart, happiness, relating, relationships, and the new you.

LIBRA September 22 to October 22

Despite Mercury at the start of a three-week retrograde cycle, you should feel you are getting it under better control, especially as this first week of January finishes and the next week unfolds. Starting January 2, Venus in Aquarius dishes up a fresh infusion where it benefits you the most. The full moon in Cancer on January 6 is preceded and followed by a good run of stars that set a backdrop for improved communications and relating, for exploring better options, for taking advantage of synchronicity and the best the moment has to offer.

One way or another, January 11 to 16 moves you/moves it forward. Mars ends retrograde on January 12 but extends its tour of Gemini through the end of March. This leg of the seven seven-month Mars cycle is the mobilizing portion. Moving forward from here, Mars (and supporting transits) will progressively move the guesswork and dilemma out of the way and help you to see your way clear through to decision making and action taking. In other words, fresh incentive, a personal breakthrough, and more viable prospects are on the planetary “what’s next” docket.

Check this out: January 18, Mercury ends retrograde. January 20, the sun enters Aquarius. January 21 delivers an extreme super new moon in Aquarius. January 22, Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, ends retrograde. Also on January 22, Venus teams with Saturn in Aquarius. (January 22 is also the start of Chinese New Year, Water Rabbit.)  That’s tons of action/stimulation from the sign of Aquarius! This group of transits light up one of the best parts of your chart. Instincts, intuition, and synchronicity is at peak. Luck can run high. While spanning just a couple of days, these dynamic transits can give you a glimpse of the future, or it put into active play. They set up an exceptionally opportune backdrop for personal or professional reinvention, for tapping into your special brand of genius, for getting picked out of the crowd, for attainment of something long sought after, or for reaching a milestone. These transits and the entire year ahead positions you at the brink of a whole new reality. How to play it; how to take full advantage of your opportunities? Adopt an attitude of “I deserve the best and I’m going for it all the way.” Self love and self honouring is your ticket to happiness and to the attainment of heart’s desire.

SCORPIO October 22 to November 21

Mercury retrograde (Dec 29 to Jan 18) can take you on a repeat or a revisit, but it is never the same twice! The full moon in Cancer can bring things to a head. Look to the good run of stars from January 5 to 9 to smooth out communication tracks and provide good opportunity to move past recent jam ups. Hopefully, travellers who have been subjected to the holiday chaos will be reunited with luggage and gain answers or promise for restitution over this first week or so of the month.

Mars in Gemini ends a two-month retrograde cycle on January 12. The days that precede and follow can set you up to make good stride regarding a decision, relationship, or investment (time, money, or heart).  Mars continues in Gemini until the end of March. Looking to buy or sell, to upgrade or shift gears? This Mars transit sets a window of opportunity for financial potentials, legal matters, paperwork, studies, agreements, negotiations, and speculative ventures.

Mercury ends retrograde on December 18. It is followed by a run of juiced-up stars incorporating an extreme super new moon in Aquarius on January 21. This extreme super/extreme new moon holds significant added kick, due to Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, ending its five-month retrograde tour on January 22, and Venus teaming up with Saturn (by conjunction). These transits create significant added spark to launch the Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit! Venus teams up with Saturn in Aquarius (by conjunction.) Looking to move in a new direction, to introduce something new or to shake things up? January 22 can be auspicious for fresh starts and ambitious projects. Personal or family life reinvention, a change of address or a new business venture/career can be in the works – if not now, then soon, or soon-ish (over the coming year or in the next few.)

You are wise to spend the first two thirds of the year aiming to getting a better fix on what you want and what its worth, also to lay the groundwork. The latter portion of the year is for putting the testing and refining as is desired or needs be.

SAGITTARIUS November 21 – December 21

January opens with Mercury at the start of a three-week retrograde cycle. Despite the backtracks, sidetracks, or redo that are so typical of the cycle, Venus in Aquarius (starting January 2) and the run of stars from January 5 to 9, sets a synchronicity backdrop for getting yourself plugged back in and/or producing something fresh.

The full moon in Cancer on January 6 can trigger memories, nostalgia, and unresolved emotions. It can bring something to the surface something that has been buried, stuffed and/or that needs to be dealt with. You could have a tough time holding back what you feel. Don’t. Feel every bit of it. Express yourself instead. You might have to show up for someone in need (it could be them; it could even be you.) Is tough love necessary? You may need to face a reality. A difficult conversation can be good clearing for the soul -and it can immediately create smoother sailing.

Mars ends a two-month retrograde cycle on January 12 but will continue in Gemini through the end of March. A conversation, negotiation, plan, or project can now move onto a productive forward track. It marks a good time to sell, test the waters, to upgrade marketing, update your technology, or to take a step forward regarding a key relationship, career or study track, a contract or legal matter.

Mercury ends retrograde on January 18. The days that follow are wired for action. You can feel the energy of the stars as a fresh burst of get up and go. The springboard could be sudden inspiration, an introduction, a new interest or prospect, or something unexpected. It is an auspicious time for beginnings, goal reaching, reinvention, and for putting ambition into action.  The extreme super new moon in Aquarius on January 21 is accompanied by the end of Uranus retrograde on January 22 and the conjunction of Venus/Saturn in Aquarius (a completion and springboard influence). Combined, these transits put a strong fresh wind under your sails.

In March, Saturn will leave Aquarius for Pisces, Mars will end its seven-month tour of Gemini and Pluto will enter Aquarius to give us a brief preview before it settles in for the long haul (at the end of 2024). April and May take us through the spring eclipse season. Use the first two-thirds of the year to work on to gaining surer footing, and to sift through the bits and pieces that still need to be dropped into the right place (in other words, work to get the ducks lined up and kinks out of the system). July onward, and especially October onward, will set you onto a shift of momentum. You could find yourself occupied with a new creative enterprise (re matters of heart or wallet). It could be a time of cutting yourself loose and heading in an altogether new direction. Progressively you will gain greater clarity as you redefine, liberate, redefine, reinvent, and test drive the new you.

CAPRICORN December 21 to January 20

Mercury in Capricorn turned retrograde on December 29 and will end retrograde on January 18. It is a good time to regroup. Of course, circumstances can force you to do so. Health can slow you down too.  Having said that, look to Venus in Aquarius, starting January 2, to keep the action going strong and to get you plugged into something fresh and new. Continue to stay open minded and to explore your options. Pay close attention to instincts and intuition. At any time, you could hear or stumble upon something quite worthwhile.

The full moon in Cancer on January 6 can trigger old memories or see you revisit something or someone from your past. A goodbye or hello can be said. Too, you could be pulled into something unexpected. Someone could need you/need more from you. It is for you to decide what is appropriate and where to set your boundaries. Overall, January 5 to 9 can produce fresh insight or opportunity. It can be a time of air clearing, good synchronicity, and of positive forward motion. You could find yourself on an upswing with a communication track, relationship, discovery process/learning curve, or financial matter.

Mars ends a two-month retrograde cycle on January 12, but it will continue in Gemini through the end of March. This Mars transit will assist you to make better progress with your health, exercise regimes, work, and studies. Moving forward from here, Mars will help you to a better fix on what avenue or technique is most useful and productive. Mars in forward motion also sets a better backdrop for communications and negotiations. Use this transit to take a test, see a specialist, get advice, hire an agent, or an employee.

Mercury retrograde ends on January 18 but continues in your sign to the middle of February. The extreme super new moon on January 21 and the days that precede and follow it are especially opportune for getting something new off the ground, for reaching a goalpost or milestone, and/or for the achievement of something especially lucrative or worthwhile. A calculated risk can pay off. A fresh insight, impulse, or spark could be the start of something significant.

Saturn, your ruler, will leave Aquarius for Pisces on March 6. It will tenant this sign for the next two- and one-half years. Saturn in Pisces is an influence of relinquishing/letting go and easing up, of allowing rather than forcing. The transit will require you to have more faith and trust despite the uncertainties that remain. To the plus, it may help you to ease up on your stress level.

At the end of March, Pluto will leave Capricorn (has been travelling through your sign since 2008) for a short two-month stint in Aquarius. Pluto will not finish with Capricorn entirely until November of 2024. What this means is that Pluto is still hard at work on its demolition project while at the same time it is giving hints as to what the future holds. These previews are meant to give you an opportunity to acclimatize and prepare for the new everyday reality that will soon overtake the old and outworn of yesterday. Lifestyle reinvention is on the roster for all of us. Stay open-minded and open-hearted. Aim to get ahead of the curve when you see the opportunity.

AQUARIUS January 20 – February 18/19

January opens with Mercury at the start of its three-week retrograde stint. Mostly, this is a background influence for you. Potentials are on brew, but they are not fully visible or solidified just yet. This transit is best used to take a step back to regroup or to refortify from within. Put more attention to strengthening your immune system, to better protection and safeguards. Also, to lighten your load where-ever possible. Quality over quantity is where it is at.

Venus transits Aquarius from January 2 to 26. Despite the Mercury retrograde propensity for backtracks, sidetracks, or delays, the month ahead is opportune for the move along, and for taking on something fresh. The full moon in Cancer is preceded and followed by optimizing stars. Whether it is a difficult thing to broach, something you feel fulfills a worthy need, or an unplanned or spontaneous ice-breaker moment, you should find you can express and convey with emotion impact and gain a positive result. The full moon could prompt you to seek support or comfort, or to offer it to offer it to one in need. Hurt emotions can be smoothed over (yours or theirs). Following the full moon, conversations, negotiations, and relationship matters can smooth out. You will find a better opportunity to establish an open line of communication.

Mars ends its two-month retrograde tour on January 12 but will continue in the sign of Gemini through the end of March. Setting you onto a good upswing, you should have no problem getting yourself up and running. Providing fresh incentive and keeping you well on the go, this Mars action mobilizes plans, projects, your social life, matters of heart and wallet. Expect to stay physically active too.

Mercury ends retrograde on January 18 but continues in Capricorn to the middle of February. This gives you more time to work on things from the background and to get better prepared for what is next on the roster. Having said that, January 20 to 22 can set an opportune backdrop for putting yourself out there, for breaking new ground, and/or for taking on something fresh and new. You will feel the fullest springboard effect of the super extreme new moon in Aquarius if you are born January 20 to 22. This new moon is accompanied by Uranus, your ruling planet, at the end of a five-month retrograde cycle and Venus conjunct Saturn in Aquarius on January 22. (This is also the Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit.) Venus/Saturn marks a goal post, achievement, milestone, a finish line, or threshold crossing of significance. You could be singled out for special attention. A sudden flash of inspiration or intuition is worth heeding. Endings and beginnings are intertwined as a new reality sets into play. As is typical of Uranus and Aquarius, expect the sudden and unexpected! (We are likely to witness weather extremes too.)

Saturn, a two- and one-half year transit, leaves Aquarius for Pisces at the start of March. To a certain extent, Saturn in Pisces can make the going easier, more fluid. It will dissolve your interest in maintaining that which no longer serves or calls to your deeper yearnings. It can take you into deeper soul searching or a spiritual quest, and/or put you back in touch with (those self honoring, sacred) parts of yourself that you have negated while you were busy elsewhere.

At the end of March, Pluto will enter Aquarius for a brief two-month stint. It can translate into a short window of opportunity, a preview, an introductory phase, or test the waters transit.  It will return to Capricorn in the middle of June to finish out the year in sign. By the end of 2024, Pluto will begin its 20-year visit to Aquarius. If you are interested to learn more on the worldly influence, check out my website article on Pluto in Aquarius. If you are interested to learn how that will affect you personally, contact me for a private session.  July onward puts the focus on showing up for yourself in relationship dealings (social and personal) in a new, more self honoring, and/or attention getting way.

PISCES February 18/19 to March 19/20

Mercury retrograde (fresh at it in Capricorn) dishes up a good time to pull back and regroup, to reassess plans, personal and financial goals, and relationship involvements. The transit can put you back in touch with folks you have not interfaced with for awhile. It can be a time to renew memberships, or to decide if you still want to belong. While Mercury retrograde is famous for backtracks, sidetracks, and delays, this month’s stars could springboard you forward. It could happen faster than you anticipate.

As of January 2, (to January 26), Venus picks up a fresh wind in Aquarius. Look to Venus to keep you stimulated, energized, and on the go. Despite the social nature of Aquarius, mostly, you are likely to be off doing your own thing. In general, this transit keeps people and the news on the go too.

Encompassing a full moon in Cancer, January 5 through 9, keeps synchronicity at peak. Conversations, scouting missions, inspired moments, and more, things can have an interesting way of unfolding. The emotional full moon in Cancer puts the spotlight on matters dear to the heart, on home, family, a lover or loved one. Safety, security, saying goodbye to the past and hello to the future can also be features of the full moon. A conversation, piece of news, insight, flash of inspiration, new option or opportunity falls under the right time and place banner.

Mars ends a two-month retrograde cycle on January 12. Mercury ends retrograde on January 18, and an extreme super new moon lights up the skies on January 21. In addition to the end of Uranus retrograde on January 22, Venus meets with Saturn (conjunction) in Aquarius. (January 22 is also the Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit). Watch these few days to springboard you and/or set you onto an acceleration track. It can be an excellent, even an auspicious time to start something new. A solidifying/make it real or make it official pairing, Venus/Saturn can mark an achievement or anniversary of significance, a goal post, milestone, or finish-line reached. Too Venus/Saturn can see you pull the plug or reach your cut-off point. In either case, likely you will say it is well timed.

Expect to stay on the go, to mostly to be doing your own thing and out of the spotlight for most of the month ahead. (That is probably just fine with you.) Make the most of the next two months. By March 6, Saturn will begin a two- and one-half year tour of Pisces. It will bring a shift of momentum and of priorities. Expect to be even more consumed with building your next life chapter.

At the end of March, Mars will leave Gemini (its spent 7 months in this sign!) and to start an eight-week residency in Cancer. During most of that transit, Pluto provides a short window of opportunity to “be elsewhere,” to explore something fresh, to untether yourself, to let yourself free float/free associate for a bit. Opportunity comes in all shapes and sizes, but know when to play it smart, especially regarding finances and survival matters. Overall, you should know instantly if it is of value for you, but added caution is advised when Mercury tours retrograde in Taurus from April 21 to May 15. The first two thirds of the year can see you get re-situated. The last third of the year is for expanding horizons again.
