Six more weeks to go for Mars retrograde in Gemini:

No doubt you are navigating your way through something of significance. It could have several moving parts. While Mars in Gemini continues in retrograde travel (through January 12), it is not time for finalizing a life changing decision, for pedal to metal or for forcing it – especially when fear is the motivating factor. More observation and assessment is wise. Time and experience are your best informants. Having said all that, the full moon of December 7 could put the writing on the wall and/or take the decision making out of your hands.

Mars and the Full Moon in Gemini:

As of the December 7 full moon, Mars, the action/assertion planet, will reach the halfway point of its retrograde cycle. Watch for this illuminating Gemini super full moon to put you in the know, perhaps in a full steam ahead/full throttle way. Mercury enters Capricorn the day before (December 6). Venus enters Capricorn two days later (December 9). Whether a plan, a dialogue, or an evaluation process, watch this week for a major shift of direction or momentum. Watch for next steps to shape up quickly. You could feel challenged, confronted, energized, or driven. The message or the news cements the reality. December 5 to 9 is a move along, move on, escalation week. It can set a backdrop of “can’t turn back, don’t want to.”

Transits for December 1 – 3:

Before we get to that full moon, uncertainty continues to stir the pot. What’s next, what’s ahead? December opens with Jupiter in Pisces, Mercury/Neptune (December 1) and Venus/Neptune (December 3). Additionally, Neptune in Pisces ends retrograde on December 3. What does all that mean? There is a range of ways you could experience these transits. There is plenty on brew. Neptune and Pisces are an exposing archetype. They stir hidden potential. They can fill in missing blanks/pull back the curtain on that which has previously gone unnoticed. On the one hand, there can confusion, loss, or disillusionment. You could lose track or lose your grip. You could run out of steam and or give up on something or someone you had pinned hope on. On the flip side, these transits can trigger imagination, inspiration, compassion, spiritual yearnings, or renewed faith. They can set potential on a growth curve, but you might not recognize it immediately. Pay attention to impressions and subtle nuances, read between the lines. Most importantly, these infiltrating transits can take your health by stealth, so please put extra attention toward your protecting your immune system!

Hanukkah & Christmas:

The added stretch on the paycheck is likely to find many of us pulling back on holiday spending this year. Even so, whether you celebrate Hanukkah (December 18 to 26), Christmas, or neither, as of mid-December onward, the stars set a good backdrop for making the most of what you have to work with.

When it comes to the holidays, are you a last-minute type or one to downplay it? Jupiter’s advance into Aries on December 20 could infuse you with more enthusiasm or fuel in the tank. Let the spirit move you. Spontaneity, sudden inspiration, and passion are typical of this transit, (emotional displays or outbursts are too).

The winter solstice (December 21) gains added turbo from the sun boosted by Jupiter. Sun/Jupiter sets an opportunity backdrop to spread good cheer and rekindle spirits’ bright.

Chiron in Aries ends retrograde cycle on the super new moon December 23. This adds a poignant checkmark to the “one-off” specialness of this moment in time (the intersection between past, present, and future). The here and now is a singular moment in time and it will never repeat itself. There is no better place to be than right where you are. Park yourself, immerse yourself, let your heart feel. Whether surrounded by family and loved ones, or on your own, the moment is yours to own. Soul growth and fulfilment happens from this matrix.

Mercury in Capricorn begins retrograde on December 29 (to January 18)

Just when you think it is a done deal, that it is secure and/or under control, that you have reached a goal or the end, you can hit a backtrack. Nothing is written in stone. Starting December 29 (to January 18) Mercury retrograde in Capricorn can change the format, plan, or priority. The transit can pile on added responsibility, restriction, delay, pressure, or burden. You could face added difficulty with the rules and regulations, with a boss, parent, authority, the bank, or the law. Take nothing for granted. You may not be able to rely on what has worked in the past. The reality baseline may not be as solid or secure as it seems.

Despite the frustrations that Mercury retrograde can bring, it is always useful for making necessary improvement. Remember the mantra: revisit, reassess, and revise. Ultimately, the goal is to assist you to form a more realistic viewpoint or understanding, to greater effectiveness, to get it under better control. Downsize, minimize, tighten the belt. Do the work, get the result. When Mercury is retrograde in Capricorn, you may have more biding time to do. If that is the case, don’t waste your time, use it wisely! Mars continues in retrograde to January 12, Mercury to January 18. Noting both Mars and Mercury in retrograde for first half of January, we are likely to feel that 2023 gets off to a late start. Look to the end of January forward for springboard or launch it time.

Overall, Christmas day should move along well. The Aquarius moon trine Mars keeps the day’s activities and conversations upbeat. Comfy, cozy, easy, and relaxed is the best way to ring in the New Year.

May inner peace and contentment prevail for the holidays and may you welcome the coming year with a renewal of hope and inspiration.  My best to you, Blessings, Rose
