Full Moon in the 17th degree of Gemini

Perfecting with an exact Mars conjunction, the next Full Moon is filled with contention. Falling in the second decan of Gemini which is itself associated with Mars, the energy contained here is fraught with difficult mental energy. There is, however, the opportunity to also come to terms with challenging situations and to apply oneself to resolving them in a satisfactory manner. Rather than ones thinking being continually swayed by emotions and instincts, it will be possible to find more creative ways to deal with difficult matters, ways that promote peace or at least balance rather than engender war and conflict. The Full Moon is also in conjunction with the fixed star Rigel, a 0.1 magnitude bluish triple star system situated on the left foot of the Hunter, in the constellation of Orion. Associated with the energies of Jupiter and Saturn and has been interpreted by Ptolemy and Lilly as bringing associations with legacies, inheritance and fame but also with unfortunate love affairs; be warned!

For Aries, the challenge will fall in the area of communications at home rather than the natural desire to move out into the world and expand your horizons. Aries, who are always excited by the prospect of new adventures, may find themselves being reined in and brought to heel by concerns closer to home. Have you done all your chores Aries, or have you been playing out with your friends way too much?

For Taurus, it may be a difficult conversation with your credit card bill! How has that holiday spending been going? Have you missed your payment deadline? Arguments with your partner in regard to shared finances could be on the cards this Full Moon for you Taurus, it might be time to put better plans in place. Help may come in the form of extra work opportunities.

For Gemini, you are likely to be arguing with yourself (as usual!). An inability to make decisions about what you really want to do because you are thinking too much about what other people want, need or expect is likely to be the main focus at this Full Moon. Emotionally led and difficult situations with partners, clients or co-workers could go so far as to be affecting your health. Take time out with friends Gemini, it’s where your safe place is.

For Cancer, you are governed by the Moon, and at the Full Moon, you are even more emotional than normal, if that could be possible! Hibernation is probably the best advice Cancer, this is not the best time for you to be out and about, inner reflection will be where it’s at this month, time to look within or resolve annoying issues. Resolving creative or work challenges could well be productive, or just spending more time with the children.

Leo will be drawn towards socialising this Full Moon and catching up with friends, even though they may think they would far rather be at home fixing something or have their nose deep in some new book. Difficulties may arise in creative situations or with conversations with children, why is it always about them? Probably best to brave it out Leo and take a turn out socialising.

Virgo could be in line for a run-in with the boss, or a difficult situation at work. Have you been focusing too much on housework Virgo and not enough time on getting yourself visible in the world? Although you often find it hard to put yourself out there, this Full Moon will spotlight the need for you to get out, network and make yourself known to others.

Libra, always the socialite will be torn between pursuing those all-important relationships and minding the money! Needing to look your best for a certain person or event, may conflict with your ability to pay for it! Help may come from your supportive children or from finding a forgotten cash stash in your house, but don’t rely on it Libra, it may be the perfect time to recognise that outward appearances are not everything.

Scorpio, you are no stranger to contention and this martian Full Moon is no problem for you! At home with covert operations, you may well find yourself dwelling on what you are owed by others, or even what you owe them, and not always in the form of money. Recognising what is of the greatest value in your life right now is key, so take this opportunity to release toxic emotions and remember that plotting is not good for your health.

Although you are in the spotlight this month Sagittarius, it will be other people that really get under your skin. Always the optimist, you could find yourself wondering why everyone else has to be so argumentative and difficult all the time. Children and romance are likely to be at the forefront of operations which could in itself raise some difficult emotions from the past and you could find yourself listening to some grievances.

Capricorn, this could be a great time to invite those bestest of friends to your home for an intimate soiree. However, probably best not to overdo it Capricorn, as your health could be impacted by any overindulgences. Better to put on the best show you can and exercise some much-needed restraint, which you will be rewarded for by a healthier bank balance and less arduous conversations with your doctor.

Aquarius, you are often trying to distract yourself with what everyone else is up to, and this month is no exception. Romance or relationships with children could prove challenging this month and it could be a battle between duty and pleasure. Harsh words that you don’t really mean could spill out in error, but you are big enough to be able to apologise.

Pisces, your attention is on home this month, together with the emotional struggles that come with it. Parents could be getting under your skin and issues regarding money and legal issues could come to a head. With fortunate Jupiter in your sign for a teeny tiny bit longer, it is likely you will be able to make the best of a bad situation, shape-shifting your way to success as usual.
